Polarity exists in this world; it’s not black and white. Because of that, having an adaptable mindset and practicing useful self-talk may prime you better for success than being focused solely on positivity.

That’s one of the messages from this week’s guest, fellow host, mentor, and personal coach Brian Levenson, of the Intentional Performers podcast. Levenson has spoken and worked with many leaders, executives, athletes, and more and shares tips on creating a practical framework for personal success and living an intentional life.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:

  • Take intentional steps to prime yourself for success
  • Find ways to think and act usefully
  • Understand how you will approach a goal, even if you don’t know why
  • Be humble enough to prepare and confident enough to perform
  • Utilize the performance, preparation, and practice mindsets appropriately

It's easy to get caught up in the failure. We tend to distract ourselves from what's more important by replaying what happened then. Everyone experiences setbacks - but the mistake 99% of the people you know make is that they get stuck playing the "what if" game with their setback and carrying around the emotional baggage like it's travel luggage.

Discover what Competitors do differently when experiencing a setback - and what matters even more than the failure.

The sky isn’t the limit for this week’s guest, former Presidential appointee, entrepreneur, and author Laura Gassner Otting.

Her most recent book is called Limitless and that’s the message she shares on today’s show. Imposter syndrome was real for Gassner Otting, who said it took pushing herself far outside her comfort zone — even after 25 years of experience in a variety of professional fields — in order to realize her own limitless potential.

She had to push other people’s ideas about her own limits to the side and seek out challenges she didn’t think she’d be able to surmount.  She shares tips about diving in headfirst, learning from failure, and getting the most out of the one life we live.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:

  • Evaluate your own metrics of success
  • Discover hidden potential within yourself
  • Shed limiting beliefs based on others’ ideas of constraints
  • Kick imposter syndrome and realize if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you
  • Pursue projects that are in line with your ideals
